Child Support Collection Questions Answered
Will I be charged for this service?
There are no up front fees and no application fee to use our service. You will not pay any out-of-pocket fees.
How is a private agency different than a government agency?
Unlike government agencies, our network of private collectors make collecting child support their only line of business. Private collection professionals have the resources and expertise to get you the financial payments you are legally entitled to receive. Also, private agencies are not overburdened with excessive case loads.
How do I know if I am eligible to use a private agency?
If you: 1) have a court order to receive child support, 2) are owed at least $5,000 in back child support, and 3) are not currently receiving any public assistance, our collection experts will match your case with a private collection expert.
What if I already have a case open with a local government child support office? Can you still help me?
Yes, in most jurisdictions we work cooperatively with government agencies. Our collection professionals have experience working with various state agencies and have knowledge of individual state laws.
What if the non-custodial parent is in jail?
Unfortunately, we cannot collect from a non-custodial parent who is incarcerated. Once they are released from jail we may be able to help you at that time.
I don’t have very much information about the non-custodial parent. Can I still apply for your services?
We understand that you may have little or outdated information about the non-custodial parent. Our collection experts will help guide you through our questions about your case and any information you provide will help us get started.
