As the summer progresses and living costs continue to increase throughout the globe, one wonders how long the world has before the looming recession becomes a reality. Citizens all over the country are eagerly awaiting economic stimulus and tax rebate checks in the mail. The Federal Government hopes that these checks will inspire spending sprees that will keep the economy churning.

The checks aren’t reaching the mailboxes of all who qualify, however, according to article from All Headline News. Parents who are delinquent in child support payments aren’t getting that warm, fuzzy feeling of holding a check in their hands because the government is rerouting them to children and families in need.

It started back in 2001 when State and Federal Agencies began sending weekly lists of child support cheaters to the US Treasury Department. The Treasure Department cross-references these lists before they send out the checks to make sure delinquent parents aren’t compensated. It’s seems like an effective system – over $2 billion in checks were rerouted to the children and families that deserve them; but will it really drive home the bottom line to these child support cheaters?

At Child Support Solution, we’ll connect you with a private enforcement agency dedicated to going all in on collecting your child support – they’ll see the government’s one rebate check and raise it for as long as it takes until you receive all you’re owed.

In a recent article from the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Federal Government has announced an unorthodox plan to recover the $1 Billion in national uncollected child support payments. The Australian Feds will support the use of private investigators to unearth suspected child-support cheaters. The program, which entails a one-year surveillance trial of parents who are accused of reporting false income information on tax returns, will only be implemented after all other options have been exhausted.

Unfortunately for Australian child-support cheaters, “all other options” isn’t as inclusive as it may sound. Rejecting a court order and providing false income information on tax returns are automatic red flags that will facilitate the government’s decision into sending a private investigator with 14x optical zoom binoculars into the bushes across the street. The Sunburnt Country seems to be taking child support collection quite seriously; something that makes sense when one considers the effect that continually missed payments can have on already struggling families.

A similar program will likely never be included in the US Government’s repertoire of tracking down those that owe back child support. With over $112 Billion in uncollected payments and deadbeats crossing state boundaries, it simply wouldn’t be scalable. The simple truth is that the US Government’s child support caseload is extremely overburdened - which is why private child support enforcement agencies can help fill a void. We may not camouflage ourselves in black clothing and traipse through neighborhoods searching for child-support cheaters like Aussie private investigators, but we at The Child Support Solution will do everything in our power to help you collect on past due child support payments; even when no one else is listening.
